Kyle Fang (b. 1997, Zhongshan, China) is a documentary photographer based in Vancouver, BC—on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.

Whether mundane or extraordinary, Fang takes a soft-eyed approach to observing the world as his work seeks to describe the contemporary social landscape of his lifetime. He keeps to traditional photographic processes—processing his film and producing silver gelatin prints in the darkroom. As a tool, Fang also makes introspective use of photography, such as a means of collecting time, talking to himself, a distraction from distractions, and a way to make sense of the world.
