Bio
Kyle Fang (b. 1997, Zhongshan, China) is a photographer and darkroom printer based in Vancouver, BC—on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
His work seeks to describe the contemporary social landscape of his lifetime through interactions with people and places, whether prosaic or extraordinary. During the summer months, Fang is out with a camera making these connections, while his time in the winter is spent in the darkroom making prints. As a tool, Fang also finds introspective uses in photography, such as a means of collecting time, talking to himself, a distraction from distractions, and a way to make sense of the world.
